OVERWIEW PTC
compressor starter works as a necessary
important protection device when starting
electronic appliances such as air conditioner,
refrigerator. Due to having steep resistance
temperature characteristics curve, it can
protect the auxiliary winding of motor in series
from burning caused by too large current when
startup. When the current passing through the
PTCR compressor starter increases, its
temperature will rise rapidly, so that its
resistance will be increased dramatically. Thus,
PTCR compressor starter can prevent the current
from changing much in order to protect motor.
YQ5-1 Type compressor starter's performance
is similar with 305C19* Series products made by
VISHAY. YQ5-2 is similar with 305C20*.
